Optimism is bubbling and you feel a sense of belonging. Your mind is brimming with ideas, and the prospect of endless possibilities makes your heart beat faster. It’s like a honeymoon; everything is new, wonderful, and full of hope. Seize the moment for as long as you can, grab a glass of wine, or take a photo to remember. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Reality check

The creative work is no longer a walk in the park. You’re confronted with a vast list of tasks and ideas, making it difficult to determine where to begin. Every to-do seems immense and challenging, leaving you feeling quite small in comparison. You can’t help but wonder, how this will all come out in the end.

The storm rages on…

Your body feels out of sync, and your motivation is slipping away. The ideas you once thought held promise are now crumpled post-its, each representing a thought that lost its shine. You’re caught in a whirlwind of emotions, struggling to find solid ground amidst the chaos.

Time for a well-deserved break!

What better way to recharge than with some coffee? Take a moment to find your inner peace and refresh your mind. Sometimes, the best strategy is to switch gears for a while, allowing creativity to trickle back in. During this break, you can enjoy an espresso martini or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere as you contemplate your next moves on the Unfinished Canvas. Killing your darlings can be tough…

But it’s a crucial step in the creative process. It means being willing to let go of ideas that once seemed brilliant but no longer fit the direction or purpose of your project. Reflecting on your work allows you to make space for new ideas that better align with your vision. In the final sprint, it’s easy to lose track of time and space. You might even forget to sleep or eat, it’s almost like falling in love. The image of the room from Blank Canvas resurfaces but in a different reality. The color is no longer white; here, it’s bursting with vibrant hues. Books float through the air. A chair is stuck on the wall. And the clock seems to be ticking away too fast…

Finally, you’re done!

Or… are you? As we see it, you’re never truly finished. When a project reaches its complete form, a new phase begins—perhaps it’s a launch or further promotion. There will always be more for those willing to delve deeper. After all, when one door closes, another one will always open.
